Consider bringing earplugs if you plan to open the windows. the street noise can be quite disruptive during the night.

If you’re hunting for pizza, Riva Bar and UG2 are must-visits nearby! After exploring Winterthur, we came back to snuggle in our spacious Family Room with a stunning view—perfect for a night of good dreams. The beds were super comfy, making it hard to get up!
Opening the window led to a lively symphony from the street. Also, the cleaning staff had their off days.

The hotel staff were accommodating and friendly.
Unfortunately, our room was quite stuffy, and opening the window led to noise from the busy street outside. The cleaning service was inconsistent. while they did remove the towels on the first day, they neglected to replace them adequately for three guests. On one occasion, we even had to wait until Monday for more toilet paper since there was no one at reception on Sundays.

The staff were extremely helpful, especially when I needed
guidance on navigating the area. The room offered great amenities and was spacious, while the location was ideal for exploring Winterthur on foot. However, I did find the breakfast to be somewhat limited in variety during the week.

missingWrote a review on 11 Octmodern bathroomcentral locationexpensive parking
The location makes it easy to explore the area on foot, and the rooms have modernized bathroom facilities that add a bit of flair.
Parking is exorbitantly pricey at 48 CHF for 24 hours with no hotel discount. The entrance and lobby lack charm, giving off a hostel vibe with dim lighting that feels unwelcoming. Mattresses are thin and quite uncomfortable, while the street noise can disturb your sleep, especially with no air conditioning to help cool down the stuffy rooms. Inconsistent cleaning results in overflowing bins and dirty coffee cups being left behind, which is frustrating, particularly when no extra toilet paper is provided on Sundays due to a lack of staff.

The Plaza Hotel is a lovely small hotel in the centre of a wonderfully charming town. The rooms are well-appointed and spotlessly clean, and it was the staff that truly excelled. the gentleman at reception was especially helpful, polite, and friendly. The overall ambiance and service made for a delightful stay during my business trip.
No notable negative aspects to report.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, with a coffee maker providing fresh coffee and water refilled daily, making mornings easier to start, and the lift made accessing the higher floors hassle-free.

The room was spacious and modern, featuring a comfortable mattress and large cupboards, which made our stay especially pleasant. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, providing useful assistance. Enjoying a delicious waffle from a nearby cafe was a delightful morning treat. However, the street noise was quite disruptive when the window was opened, impacting sleep quality, and there were minor issues with the water pressure in the bathroom.

The room was spacious and beautifully modern. I loved the darkening blinds, perfect for a good night's sleep. The complimentary water bottles were also a nice touch. However, it felt a bit stuffy, and opening the window let in a lot of street noise, which was distracting at times. Overall, the aesthetics were great, but the comfort could use a little improvement.

For relaxation, the large rooms provide great comfort and there’s a cozy area to unwind with a book. Just a heads up, the entrance could use a little sprucing up to match the lovely vibe of the hotel. 😊
